Instructions to apply the swiss-made tensiometer for wires/felts
The Tensiometer is used to measure the tension of Forming. Fabrics and Wet-Felts in stretched form.
The Tension is given in Newtons per cm. The Dia1-Range is 0-200 N/cm, equa1 0-20 kp/cm.
Before the measuring set the maximum hand pointer to Zero by turning the centre knob in the towards clock direction. Use only one hand by measuring. Press firmly against the wire/Felt. The measuring point should be chosen on a place where the minimum possibility for an accident is guaranteed. Suitable is an outstanding roll, for example the guiding roll. Take the measuring point at about 30-40 cm distance from the roll and about 30-40 cm inside from the edge of the wire/fe1t.
The Tensiometer should be kept with the longer side of the Baceplate paralell in the wire/felt run Direction.
After installed a new wire/felt in the machine, the Tension should be measured dai1y during the first three days.
Dry the Tensiometer after the measuring and store it in its Case.
